The treatment
Microblading is first and foremost an art: the architecture of the brow. At Ice Lady in Marrakech, every line is designed for your face. We measure your proportions, look at the spacing of your eyes, the shape of your forehead and your natural expression, then draw with you the brow that suits you. Nothing is pigmented until you have approved the design.
The technique deposits pigment by hand just beneath the surface of the skin, using a sterile, single-use micro-blade tool. Each stroke mimics a real hair, so the result is far finer and more natural than a traditional tattoo or machine-applied permanent make-up. Because the pigment stays in the superficial layers of the skin, microblading is semi-permanent: the colour fades gradually over the months.
It is ideal for filling sparse brows, balancing asymmetry, rebuilding a line that has been over-plucked over the years, or simply saving time every morning. The protocol includes a main session followed by a touch-up a few weeks later, to perfect colour intensity and density once the skin has healed.

Recommended protocol
The full protocol includes two appointments: an initial session, then a touch-up 4–6 weeks later. At the touch-up we assess how well the colour has held, which varies from skin to skin, and fill any lighter areas or add density where needed.
Microblading is semi-permanent: the colour fades gradually, usually over 12 to 18 months depending on skin type, sun exposure and skincare routine. A maintenance touch-up, often every 6 to 12 months, keeps your brows crisp.

Aftercare
- Keep the brows dry and avoid make-up on the area for the first few days.
- Avoid hammam, sauna, swimming pools, the sea and heavy sweating until healed.
- Do not scratch or pick at small scabs: let them fall away naturally.
- Apply only the aftercare balm recommended by the clinic, in a thin layer.
- Protect your brows from the sun: UV exposure speeds up pigment fading.
Contraindications
- Pregnancy and breastfeeding.
- Infection, irritation, eczema or an active lesion in the brow area.
- Isotretinoin or anticoagulant treatment, or a recent dermatological procedure on the area.
- Tendency to keloid scarring or poor healing.
- Uncontrolled diabetes or a blood-clotting disorder.
- Your suitability is always confirmed in consultation before the session.

Frequently asked questions
Does microblading hurt?
Sensitivity varies from person to person. A topical numbing cream is applied to ease discomfort, and we take breaks whenever needed. Most clients compare the sensation to tweezing.
How long does microblading last?
Microblading is semi-permanent: the colour fades gradually, usually over 12 to 18 months. Longevity depends on skin type (oily skin often holds pigment less well), sun exposure and aftercare. Periodic touch-ups extend the result.
How long is the healing time?
Slight redness or swelling may appear and settles within a few hours. The skin then flakes lightly for one to two weeks; the colour looks darker at first, then softens. The final result can be judged after about 4 to 6 weeks.
Do I need to shave my brows before the session?
Absolutely not. We work with your natural hairs. Simply avoid tweezing, waxing or threading for two weeks before your appointment so we can see the true shape of your brows.
Is the touch-up necessary?
Yes, it is part of the protocol. Every skin heals differently and some areas may retain less pigment. The touch-up, 4 to 6 weeks after the first session, evens out the colour and refines density.
Can old microblading or a brow tattoo be corrected?
It depends on the condition and colour of the existing work. We assess feasibility in consultation and tell you honestly what can be improved.
